Grad School
So I'm gonna be applying for a buttload of different MFA programs at grad schools. IT IS SCARY. I have always lived near Seattle and all these schools are on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY :( I probably won't get into a lot of them, like the Writers' Workshop at the University of Iowa, but it is a pretty intimidating process nonetheless. Does anyone know anything about the Whidbey Writers' Workshop? Supposedly it's a low-residency MFA program and I like Whidbey, but I don't know if its credentials are sound or whatever.
IS ANYBODY ELSE GOING THROUGH THIS PROCESS TOOOOOO

Re: Grad School
I'm still not 100% done with college (but I am about ~99% of the way there and this will most likely be my last quarter) and I'm gonna take a couple of years off before grad school. Partially to figure out what the fuck I'm going to go to grad school for (it will probably be either political economy or history, but the one time I looked at grad school programs none of them were leftist enough for me to be seriously interested).
Also, I kind of feel like I'm going to at least try a few non-academic things before I give up and go back to school. I'm just sick of school right now, if I went to grad school I would totally bomb and I don't need to be spending that kind of money on something I'm not gonna take seriously.
I really don't want to go to school any further, but it's a hell of a lot easier than real life. And I would kind of like to eventually get a PhD so I can make people call me Dr. Flowers. Plus the whole guaranteed employment for the rest of your life thing sounds nice.
But for now I have a pretty cushy job and not many expenses, so I'm trying to save up money and do... something. I'm not sure what yet.
Still, I'm intimidated as hell by the prospect of going to grad school. It didn't even occur to me that I might go to grad school until I was 20 and one of my professors asked me, "So where are you thinking of going to grad school?" So good luck with that shit.

Dr. Deal sounds like a cleaning product.
I also have no idea when/where/how I will go back to college, nor what I would do there. Feels bad man.

Nah, I'd say Dr. Flowers is the one that sounds more like a cleaning product, in that that's how it would be scented. Dr. Deal sounds more like a shady used car salesman.
