Spiked Cider?

I bought a 1/2 gallon of spiced rum today. I'm hoping to make some sort of delicious spiked apple cider for the party on Saturday.
Any of you attempt this before? I'm thinking if I just fill up a couple glass jars with rum, pureed apple, and Cinnamon sticks tonight then hopefully by Saturday the rum'll be nice and flavored. After that I'll just strain out the apple mush and poor in a fair amount of that nice apple cider QFC's had on sale? Maybe throw in some more apple slices?

Also decided screw the recipes, they've given me a vague idea of proportion but not much else.

Trolloween was alright, I ended up having to leave like... RIGHT as things were picking up so maybe it would've been better?
I'm psyched for a zombie TV show and will definitely watch it before next week, do the new episodes play every Sunday or was that just for the premier?
